As we all know that education must aim at producing sensitive, creative and upright citizens who are willing to take up challenges and whose professional skills are meant to endure revolutions in thinking and action. The mission of any university can only be achieved by providing a congenial climate where the students can develop themselves as innovative and technology savvy citizens. They should be prepared to create new knowledge in their chosen area of specialization.
It is an undeniable fact that any institution of higher education depends upon its students, faculty, infrastructural facilities and above all, the visionary capacity of its leaders. Hence, these four components are responsible for creating a friendly environment for learning, research and innovation. In order to create this environment, cooperation from all the stakeholders is essential. I strongly believe that before planning about the progress of the university, we should understand its strength, weakness, opportunities and challenges, or SWOT in short. This will help in meeting the targets and achieving the goals.
We have to explore all the opportunities to see that the university flourishes. In other words, instead of trying to omit the short line of evil, nuisance and negativism, one should attempt to draw the line of positivity, hope, strength, happiness and development. The above mentioned approach will help in meeting the challenges. As a result, this centre of learning will be with full enthusiasm and positive energy. Perhaps, this is the best way to see that the university, lying in the south-east corner of the state of Uttar Pradesh, becomes a leading centre of higher learning in the country.
Jananayak Chandrashekhar University, Ballia, established in 2016, is a new university and the tenure of Vice-Chancellor is only three years. Needless to say, I am in a hurry to transform this centre from a nebulous state to a vibrant nucleus of social, economic and cultural change through higher education. This will only be possible if I get support from all of you.
